What we were asked.

Marks & Spencer is one of the biggest retailers in Cyprus. Facebook is its only
social media presence and its main channel of communication. We were asked
to find an interesting way of encouraging customers’ social media action and participation (i.e., like, share, comment). We were also asked to promote M & S’s products in a way that would increase the fan base but would also be meaningful to the brand.

The Challenge.

Cypriots hardly engage with online content.

The Process.

With M & S’s heritage in mind, we followed the brand’s guidelines in order to create online content that promotes and aligns with its values. We set up the Facebook page and promote M & S’s seasonal collections through game applications twice a year (at Christmas and in late spring). The game applications are promoted through a campaign consisting mainly of promoted posts which gather “likes” while also promoting M & S’s content.

What we Delivered.

The most recent application that we created was the M & S Summer Suitcase. A fun summer game with fresh creative design, it promotes the excitement of the holidays while giving M & S fans the chance to play with their friends in an appealing virtual environment. We developed a Facebook campaign to back up our game app with an excellent set of engaging posts and social ads to sustain our audience’s interest and create a playful mood.

We delivered killer Facebook content strategy, lending a casual and more friendly approach to the brand without diminishing its core values of high quality and innovation. The result? One of the most engaging Facebook pages in Cyprus!
